Bounce Back Now (BBN) is a complimentary mobile application designed to assist individuals and families in navigating the emotional recovery process following traumatic events. Tailored for private use, the app enables users to progress at their own pace. While primarily focused on trauma recovery, much of the content is equally applicable to those dealing with a variety of stressful life situations.

Developed by a team of healthcare professionals from the Medical University of South Carolina, Boston University, and the University of Nebraska, BBN has undergone rigorous testing as part of research funded by the National Institute of Mental Health. This ensures its effectiveness as a recovery tool for trauma survivors around the globe.

For many, the aftermath of trauma can manifest in stress, anxiety, low mood, or sleep disturbances, often leaving individuals uncertain about where to seek help. The BBN app offers a means to monitor emotional recovery while providing practical coping strategies based on best practice guidelines. Additionally, users can connect with disaster crisis counseling specialists through the Disaster Distress Helpline, administered by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
